When adding a new Page or Post, wouldn’t it be nice to be able to control the look and feel without having to have a degree in HTML coding. Well guess what?! You can!! There is a handy little button on the toolbar that allows you to do just that. It is called the kitchen sink. In order to find the button when adding a new page or post make sure you are in the visual tab (see pic below). Once there, you will see a little button on or near the end that looks like the following:
By clicking on this button, you will reveal a whole lot of new formatting options (pictured below) that you can use to help make your pages and post look exactly how you wish them to.
Some of these buttons include features such as:
- changing font size
- changing font colour
- highlighting text
- insert from Microsoft Word (great for copying over formatting without the bad code that is hidden behind it)
- undo and redo buttons
So next time you are adding a new post or page to your website, click on the kitchen sink button and take a look at the features that are found there. You will find that getting that article to look how you want it too a great deal easier.
