Email Setup Instructions for Outlook – IMAP

  1. Open Outlook
  2. Select File > Account Settings. > Account Settings
  3. On the E-mail tab, select “New“
  4. Select “Manually Configure server settings or additional server types” and click Next
  5. Leave “Internet Email” selected and press Next
  6. On the Internet E-mail Settings window, enter your information as follows:

    Your Name
    Enter your first and last name.
    Email Address
    Enter your e-mail address
    Account Type
    Select IMAP from the drop down box
    Enter ax.email for your incoming mail server.
    Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)
    Enter ax.email for your outgoing mail server.
    User Name
    Enter your email address again
    Password
    Enter your email password
  7. Click the “More Settings” Button
  8. On the “Outgoing Server”  Tab, check “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.”
  9. Select the “Advanced” tab and change the “Incoming Server” port to 993
    Check the box “This server requires and encrypted connection”
    Change the “Outgoing server (SMTP)” port to 465
    Change the drop down box “Use the following type of encrypted connection:” to SSL. Then Click “OK”
  10. Click Next.
    Click Finish.
